FINALLY OUR SHELTER DOG SHUFFLE UPDATE!

THE FIRST EVER "SHELTER DOG SHUFFLE" DANCE AND RAFFLE TO BENEFIT THE ANIMALS AT H.A.R.T. ANIMAL SHELTER WAS A HUGE SUCCESS!

ON SATURDAY NIGHT, JUNE 27, OVER 250 PEOPLE CAME OUT TO DANCE UNDER THE BIG TOP AT NORWAY RIDGE TO THE GREAT MUSIC OF THE SKATYRS BAND.

A TOTAL OF $16,000 WAS RAISED, AND THERE WERE 3 VERY HAPPY RAFFLE WINNERS!! (see photos below).

THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS, STAFF, AND ESPECIALLY THE ANIMALS AT H.A.R.T. WANT TO THANK EVERYONE WHO PARTICIPATED IN THIS EVENT, WHETHER IT WAS PURCHASING A RAFFLE TICKET, HELPING SELL RAFFLE TICKETS, ATTENDING THE DANCE, DONATING A GIFT CERTIFICATE OR SERVICE, OR IN ANY OTHER WAY.

A SPECIAL THANKS TO NORWAY RIDGE FOR THEIR HELP AND THEIR PARKING LOT, AND TO THE SKATYRS FOR SHARING THEIR TIME AND TALENT!!

Shelter Dog Shuffle
Heartland Animal Rescue Team would like to thank everyone who made the first annual "Shelter Dog Shuffle" a huge success.
 
A dance and raffle was held at Norway Ridge Supper Club in Ideal Corners and about $16,000 was raised for animal care.
Special Thanks to the following.
Norway Ridge Supper Club for hosting the dance. The Skatyrs band for entertaining the crowd.
To Linda and Joe Shalley, the  fundraising committee and volunteers, for  spending countless hours planning the event, selling raffle tickets, securing raffle prizes and the list goes on.
 
A very special thank you to the businesses that donated the raffle prizes.
The Toro Company donated a Toro Workman Utility Vehicle, Schaefer's Foods of Nisswa donated a $1,000 shopping certificate, and Grand Ely Lodge donated a 3 night stay at the lodge. 
Winners of the raffle were:  Toro:  Thomas A Romanowski, Schaefer's: Deb Doucette  and the Grand Ely Lodge: Lee Miller.
