Heartland Animal Rescue Team held
the annual meeting of the membership Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at The Lodge
of Brainerd Lakes. Before the annual meeting was convened by board
president Jan Germann, local celebrity Johnny Jay Huhta entertained the
members.
President Germann gave a brief
overview of the organization’s successful fiscal year. HART operates on
a annual budget of about $360,000, with animal intake numbers of 2,900.
Mary Rice, outgoing board
director, was presented with a plaque of appreciation and thanked for
her four years of dedicated service to HART.
Robb Pastor was newly elected to
the board of Directors, with incumbents; Jan Germann, Bill O’Hara, Tonya
Rabasco and Fran Rohdal securing another two year term on the board.
Election of Officers followed
the annual meeting with the following results:
President: Jan Germann;
Vice-President: Brittany Georges; Secretary: Darlen VanDrew; and
Treasurer: Tonya Rabasco.
