HART receives many calls from people who have either lost or found a pet. 

Hart will do everything possible for you to find your pet.

If you have found a pet in the below areas please contract Animal Control at:

If you have lost your pet please contact HART at:

These are the municipalities that have an animal ordinance, which means, if you find an animal you can contact the animal control officer to come pick it up.  These animals will come to HART and be held the legal seven days.  If no owner claims the animal it is evaluated for adoptability and then placed for adoption on the HART floor. 

 

Please don't think if you call animal control and the animal is brought to HART  it will be automatically euthanized. 

 This is a very big misconception held by the public. 

An animal has a much better chance of finding its owner at HART than out on its own.

All impounded animals are charged at $14.00 per day plus tax.

Pick-up fee is $40.00 plus mileage.

Exception ~~~ Brainerd pick-up fee is $30.00 and no mileage.

There is no pick-up fee for Unorganized Territory

CASH OR CREDIT CARD eccepted when you pick up your pet from HART.
