HART welcomes volunteers to help out in various aspects of the
business. Due to the overwhelming support HART receives at the
shelter, from school programs, group homes, rehab programs and senior
programs, some changes have been made to the program.
Please note what type of volunteers HART is in need of at the present
time. If we enroll a large number of volunteers in the program it
becomes very chaotic and unorganized at the shelter and no one
benefits. As the need for volunteers changes the website will be
updated.
Dog Walking:
Volunteers to walk dogs Tuesday thru Saturday: The shifts are about one
hour and go from 11:00 - 4:30. If you chose to this volunteer job you
are welcome to just come to the shelter. Please understand that children under the age of 14 can not walk dogs
by themselves. And children most be under control at all times.
When you come in ask a staff member to show you the proper procedure
for dog walking.
Right now HART has a an abundance of Cat Cuddlers.
Fundraisers/OutReach:
HART is always looking for volunteers to help raise money and awareness
in the community. If you are interested in volunteering in this aspect
